As early as in the Qianlong period of the Tsing Dynasty, the She-liao community of Jhushan Township in Nantou County was an important ferry dock on the official road stretching from north to south, and was reputed as the She-liao Ten villages. Its patron saint, Tzu-Nan Temple, is a very legendary temple of Land God which has been built over 300 years. The local people call the Land God as Grandpa, and there is a tale that one may have a great fortune in doing business and a local family can give birth to a son if a principal is borrowed from the Grandpa. On the Festival of Lanterns next year, either the person or the family must boil and cook a sesame oil chicken as an offering to thank the land god. Then the land god will stand treat to offer everyone a drink for keeping safety. The Principal Lending System of the Tzu-Nan Temple was established in response to the unexpected demands of its disciples, namely helping to overcome the urgency, not the poverty. It is stipulated there that the maximum amount of principal shall be subject to six Cups, and also that the principal shall be refunded next year. A lot of disciples would request the principal from the Land God incidentally while offering incenses to this temple. There would be approximately 180, 000 incense burning worshippers who tend to borrow such money each year.
The golden chicken standing beside this temple is the landmark here, while the Imperial Rice paid as a tribute in the Japanese Occupation Period has now been packaged into the Safety and Fortune rice that receives the great popularity from those incense burning worshippers. The soil and water conservation bureau of the council of agriculture, executive yuan has provided its instruction to this community and agglomerate the homeconcentric collaboration of its residents through the overall community construction to create the new appearances of this community, maintain the local cultural relics, and carry forward and inherit those traditional skills.

The Purple Grapes with the Q taste The Red Dot tomatoes with high sweetness
In the She-liao community of Jhushan Township, Nantou County, the local production and sales team has spontaneously developed a new variety of grape-the Purple, whose plantation has covered an area of more than 10 hectares. Nowadays, they have successfully achieved the name recognition of this grape variety through the multiplex cultural events for the Purple Grape Industry held by the SWCB annually. Such a variety has received a great popularity on the consumer market.
The special product grown in the Fuzhou Community would be the Fresh Green tomatoes, while the specific variety is the Red Dot black tomatoes with high sweetness. In addition to the a number of events for the sales promotion of tomatoes as guided by the Soil and Water Conservation Bureau, the Jhushan Township Office has further designated the Fuzhou community as the Fuzhou Tomato Special District, which has now grown to be an extensively renowned village of tomatoes.
