Theme Site─Gaotai Area, Luye Township, Taitung County
Gaotai, Luye Initial experience of parachuting in the upper air

The diversified, valuable animals and plants. |
If you follow the Huadong Valley to head southwards, there would be a sudden blossom of colorful parachute flowers in the sky when you approach the Taitung City. It goes without introduction that as everybody knows, you will have now arrived at the Luye Township of the Taitung County, a site which is renowned both at home and abroad for the local parachuting sport. Meanwhile, the Yong’an area has ever further overawed the whole Taiwan for its Champion Tea.

Come to Luye and look for Tea |
Either the parachutes or Fulu Champion Tea does not sound strange for most tourists here, but few of them can be aware of the beauty of the Yong’an community. With the direction of the Soil and Water Conservation Bureau, Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, more diversified and multiplex styles and appearances of the Yong’an community have been developed. Even the exterior shape of the Yong’an Special Agri-Product Exhibition and Sales Center has been actually a small cabin typical of the European style, which is quite prominent along the No.33 East Line Highway!
Spring water available at every household Weeping willows planted by each family The Yong’an Community has now become a beautiful village
The weather is very pleasant for human settlement in the Yong’an community with its old name as Luliao, and this village was set up to be the village of Japanese immigrants as early as in 1917, when the Japan occupied Taiwan. Moreover, Yulong Quan (spring) –a natural spring with clean and ample water, would be another natural resource that Luliao owns distinctively. The water of Yulong Quan gushing from the underground in the forest is clean and sweet in quality. Following the Yulong Quan Ecological Trail, you will move along the canyon to perceive the charms of this mountain waterfall and experience the magic of this tropical forest.

A great leisure experience of natural resources. |
The SWCB has based its directions to the local authority on the specific circumstances of this place, while the Yong’an has been a rural village of a long history and conserved ambience. So it was unavoidable to encounter some problems when negotiating with the community residents about the overall construction at the outset. Later, local residents have sensed that the overall style of this community has remained as usual, while the open-style garden of each family has shifted from the previous apathy to outside visitors to the present-day smiling hospitality to all the tourists. With the common goal of creating a new community of great beauty, the overall village is striving to step towards a model community in which there would be spring water supplied to every household and weeping willows planted by each family!
Civil accommodations of extremely distinctive features can be available at Yong’an for your choice

Feature home accommodations of various sceneries |
The Yong’an Community has now been totally brushed up due to both the assistance of the SWCB and efforts of the community residents. There is only a journey of about 30 minutes from here to the downtown of Taitung City. Therefore, tourists can first take a spa at the Hongye (Red Leaves) Hot Spring and then select one of the various civil accommodations there to stay overnight, having an experience of the rural life with the singing of birds and the fragrance of teas.

Come to Yong’an to buy special products and have gourmet foods |
There are six genuine golden saluting guns in the 21st International Resort Palau, whose owner built this vocation restaurant in order to make a return to his hometown. To ensure that tourists can enjoy topgallant services here, even the pickup vehicles are the open SAAB roadsters, while there are bicycles and heavy-duty motorcycles available here for rental!
On the other side, the Lipin Tea Garden would serve as another successful case as directed by the Soil and Water Conservation Bureau. Used to specialize in the plantation and processing of teas, the Lipin Tea Garden has today converted into a Hakka Tea Grinding site that small children visiting Yong’an would most love to patronize. In this way, it has become the best example of transformation into the leisure agriculture. |
